The Voice of Patients – A Partner to Clinicians – A Catalyst for Change

Where we work

Six ways to take part.

Pick what suits you. Most people do a few, and you can move between them whenever you like.

Time on your own

Reading papers, thinking things through and deciding what you want to say. Everything else builds on this, and a mentor is there if you want one.

Two couples chatting in a café Three people in conversation over coffee Four friends talking round a café table

Meeting other members

Ask questions, pass on what you've found and get to know people who have been through something similar.

Adults listening at a workshop A talk in a bright room A presenter speaking to a group

Learning

Talks and short courses on things like how clinical trials work, so you feel confident joining in.

Talking it through

We discuss a topic as a group, sometimes with a guest, and agree what patients think.

Creating something together

A small group works on one thing until it's done, such as a guide or a response to a consultation.

Mixed-age group in a meeting A meeting where one person speaks and others listen People round a meeting table

Being consulted

Researchers, doctors and national bodies bring us their questions and we work on them together.

No ladder to climb

You can be in several at once and step in or out as your health and interest allow.
